Morning introspection

FROM BBC: The invitation to the world's D-list malcontents reads as follows: No matter how corrupt your moral sense, how contorted your view of the world, how vapid and inarticulate your ideas, how talentless you are and how exaggerated your grievance, an obsessive audience will watch your every move and turn you into what you most want to be, just before your death (regarding Mumbai terror attacks).

Lonely, scared, mentally ill
Yet another day.
Watched a great documentary based on Chalmers Johnson's book, "The Sorrows of Empire." I thought of Orwell the whole time. The program details the neocon desire for perpetual war, propaganda used to scare the public and justify our loss of civil liberties, the smash-and-grab redistribution of wealth from the middle class to the wealthy via the war economy and tax cuts, resulting in international isolation and bankruptcy for the U.S. It's so absurd and illogical, and the propaganda techniques so heavy handed and diabolical, that I often laughed out loud as if I were watching Strangeglove rather than the ruin of my country.
